If you were me and lived in... Mexico: A Child's Introduction to Cultures Around the World: 1 by Carole P. Roman
My rating: 5 of 5 Moons

Lily says:

This book is all about life in Mexico! and also tells you about lots of things you can do there.

My favourite picture is the last one with all the people around the world holding hands. I like it because it shows that we should all take very good care of the world and each other.

My favourite part is when they tell all about the art palace because I am really into art.

This book made me feel vary intrigued because of all the things you learn about Mexico and how many things you can do.

I learned that you can also call the Art Palace ``Palacio de Bellas Artes`` and the Mayan Temple has 365 stairs, one for every day of the year and so much more.

I think lots of people would like this story because it is very interesting and full of fun facts.`

Mom Says:

MDDR Presents: A Review of If you were me and lived in ... France: A Child's Introduction to Cultures Around the World by Carole P. Roman

If you were me and lived in... France: A Child's Introduction to Cultures Around the World by Carole P. Roman
My rating: 5 of 5 Moons

Lily says:

This book is all about France and all of the things you can do there.

I really liked the pictures in this book my favourite one was the one where the kids are standing in front of the Eiffel Tower. I like it because I really like nature and there's lots of trees and a beautiful sky and the colours are very nice.

My favourite part was how they told you all about the Eiffel Tower and when it was built and who built it.

The book made me feel interested because it told about all the cool things in France and it made me want to go there.

I learned that France is in western Europe and it is called the city of light and so much more.

I think lots of people would like this story because it is very interesting and full of fun facts.

MDDR Presents: A Review of I Want to Do Yoga Too by Carole P. Roman

I Want to Do Yoga Too by Carole P. Roman
My rating: 4 of 5 Moons

Lily says:

This book is about a little girl named Hallie who wanted to do yoga with her mom but instead she learned her own yoga from Robin.

I really liked the book but the type of pictures in the book weren't really my type. I would have coloured them more and updated them some as they look like old comic book pictures.

My favourite part was at the end when Hallie's mom came to pick her up and saw how happy she was doing yoga.

I learned that sometimes if you want to do something with someone and they cant there may be someone out there who can.

I think lots of little kids would like this book, it's a very interesting story.

Mom says:

I really enjoyed reading this with lily. The story was short and sweet and had a lot of character. I liked the old fashioned drawings and the family feel and warmth to the book. Carole P. Roman is a wonderful writer and knows just what brings families together for story times and for family times. I can`t wait to read more of her stories.

Our Review

T-Bone the Flying Horse by Janice Virant
My rating: 5 of 5 carets

lily says:

This book is about a sad and lonely horse named T-Bone who find a very sad and lonely girl who adopts him and together they go on a magical journey of friendship.

my favourite photo is the cover photo and is also in the book.I like this picture because the girl in the bed has a blanket that has pictures of T-Bone on it and because the picture of the world has a mouse on it holding up a sign that says North Pole.

My favourite part was when they didn't even know that the mouse was always with them tagging along.

The story was sad when he was all lonely but it got waaaaaaaaaay happier in the end.

I learned that even though you feel sad and lonely your never alone there are others that feel the same way and friendships can be made anywhere.

I think that lots of kids would like it. it's a great story with a good message and Janice Virant is a wonderful writer!

Mom Says:

I really enjoyed reading this with my daughter it has a wonderful message and is a delight to read before bedtime. It has quickly become one of lilys favourite bedtime reads and is easy for her to read herself or for us to enjoy together.

T-bone is a sad and lonely horse who has no one to call his own, until one day when a sad and lonely girl walks in to his barn and they are instantly friends.

The little girl and T-bone's friendship is so magical that strange and exciting things start to happen to T-bone. never did T-Bone dream things like this were possible!

Janice is a wonderful author with a beautiful grasp of what it is that children love to read about. If you and your child have not read this yet then what are you waiting for!

Our Review

Lily and Her Stuffed Horse Pie

Pie: An Old Brown Horse by Kandy Kay Scaramuzzo
My rating: 5 of 5 carrots

Lily says:

This book is about a old brown horse named pie who survives a fatal attack by a bull.

my favourite picture in the book is the one at the back with durango and little one.

My favourite part was when when dusty took off with the keeper on his neck.we laughed and laughed and laughed.

I felt bad for Pie when he got attacked by the bull but as the book went on it got happier.

I learned that is a very strong and stubborn horse! and I also learned alot about the other horses who were Pie's friends.

I think that everybody would like it. it's a awesome story and I think that everyone should have a horse named Pie! Kandy is the

best author ever!

Mom Says:

I loved reading this story with my daughter! it was so full of passion and purpose. Kandy really out did herself with this book, it was so full of heart, laughter, friends and family.

this is the story of Pie, a ranch horse who was attacked by and bull and severely damaged. He is sold to a new stable and not expected to recover, miraculously however he does!

Kandy Kay Scaramuzzo tells the story in the eyes of Pie, you learn about his pride, his gentle nature and most of all the deep love that develops between him and his rider little one.

Pie is a journey of laughter, love and the unshakeable spirit of the best horse I have ever had the pleasure to read about!

I really enjoyed all the horses in the stable but I have to say the antics of the keeper and her horse were the best! my daughter and I laughed and laughed countless times! This story has so much heart and so much spirit you never want to put it down!

I highly recommend this to all the families out there! it is a journey you will not want to miss out on!
